- Ensure drums are emptied out fully after use. The drums must be cleaned thoroughly (inside & outside) with a cloth damped with water. Ensure the drum is properly decontaminated from the residual nitrocellulose before disposing off. Cleaning rags must be disposed off in the same manner as in the case of waste nitrocellulose.
- The drum lid should then be put on the drum and the sealing ring tightened.
- Keep the empty drums in a designated place with proper marking/label. Disposal should be in conformance with local regulatory laws.
